The last few weeks I’ve gone crazy with the woodworking, I’m sure you can tell by the content I’ve posted. When I came accross this project it reminded me…hey this is DIY projects not just woodworking. A while ago I posted a link to a site showing how to build a bench power supply out of an old ATX power supply which was a great project that uses old parts which more than likely would go to waste. Some of you hardcore DIYers probably want something a little higher tech but still don’t want to shell out the money to buy a commercially available bench top. Even better they offer a kit with all of the parts for 24 euros here which is excellent. Not only does it give the designers of the project some support but it saves you shipping from a dozen different places and hours of time trying to find numerous different parts. Often I find sourcing the parts is the hardest part of many DIY projects.

As for the project you get to select output values and actual measured values are displayed on a 16×2 lcd (which btw you will soon be able to buy at theDiyourfaceoff store)
